The BTS Will:

About BTS

The BTS has its origins in the British Toxicology Club founded in 1971. The Society was established as a limited not-for-profit company registered in the UK in 1978. Membership of the Society comprises individuals drawn from industry, academic institutions and regulatory authorities, and also includes student members. Approximately 85% of the members are from the UK, the remainder being worldwide.

Specific interests of the members of the Society are catered for by our Speciality Sections.  These currently are:

  • Biotechnology
  • Discovery toxicology
  • Human Toxicology
  • Immunotoxicology/allergy
  • Nanotoxicology
  • Neurotoxicology
  • Occupational Toxicology

Mission 

To provide the national forum for toxicology in the UK, to support and enrich the careers of toxicologists and to promote the importance of toxicology within the wider scientific and lay communities.
