Apply for Membership

 

Membership of the Society is open to anyone with an interest in toxicology and who supports the aims of the Society to promote and advance the science of toxicology.
 

  • Applications require nomination by two current members of the Society. If any applicant is unable to provide these, please contact the Society for further guidance.
  • Student membership is open to bona fide students, supported by a letter of confirmation from the Head of Department.
  • Various other categories of membership are available.
  • Membership renewal fees must be paid by Direct Debit for all UK members (January each year).   A Direct Debit Mandate should be completed and returned with the application form. Please note that the Society levies a £20 surcharge for full membership renewals paid by any other method.  A membership renewal receipt will be provided on request.
  • Overseas members with UK bank accounts should also pay by the Direct Debit method. Those not having UK bank accounts may pay by credit card. For those paying by this alternative method, an invoice will be sent out in December each year and must be paid by 31 January of the following year.
  • Credit card payments will have a handling charge of 2.5% added.
  • For applicants accepted during the last quarter (October - December) of the year, the annual fee will also cover the 12 months of the next calendar year, ie up to 15 months membership.

Membership Fees

£82.50 – Full membership by Direct Debit (£20 surcharge for other payment methods) 
£15.00 – Student membership, charged £5 for the first year
£25.00 – Post PhD membership, must still be within academic research
£25.00 – Retired members

Applications for membership will be considered by the Executive Committee of the Society on a monthly basis.
