IVTS Annual Meeting: 'REACHing regulatory requirements in vitro'

The Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) has been in force in the European Union since June 2007. In vitro models are integral to REACH hazard assessments.  The aim of this two day meeting is to bring together the regulatory and research communities with a focus on:

• REACH legislation and the current in vitro toxicology tests used in assuring the safety of chemicals in Europe.
• Innovative in vitro research aiming towards the development of new tests and future strategies that may go to address the current gaps in decision making in REACH assessment.
