Notice for BTS advertisement of the Reg Tox Specialty Section Brainstorming meeting:
Proposal for the development of formulations guidance for regulatory toxicity testing’
BTS members brainstorming session with OECD Test Guidelines Programme National Coordinator to be held on 25 June online in Zoom, 2-4.30pm.
Relevant for all BTS regulatory toxicology stakeholders, but especially laboratories and CROs conducting regulatory toxicity studies.
This online meeting will discuss and scope relevant work streams to support a potential proposal to be drafted and submitted to the OECD in the autumn, for the development of ‘Guidance for formulations testing for regulatory toxicity requirements.
The intention is to clarify and improve the definitions and specifics of regulatory requirements, to harmonise and improve the quality and rigor of formulations tested in regulatory studies by developing consistent guidance with respect to chemicals testing in vivo, across sectors, but in particular in relation to OECD Test Guidelines.
The guidance development proposal is intended to support study sponsors, labs, CROs and regulators. It will also include checklists to say what is needed from sponsors at the outset; consistent reporting requirements; which parameters are required or not (specificity, calibration, recovery, precision, matrix, carry-over, stability, etc…) with acceptability criteria.
